Misty Forest
This picture was taken in Pang Un, a small village in Mae Hong Son Province, Thailand. Although Thailand is a tropical country, Pang Un is up in the mountains, where the cool climate allows such trees to thrive. The area around Pang Un is a Royal Project site, and the woods there are protected from illegal forestry activities.
Pang Un grows coffee (some of the best I've tasted for that matter), and there are a few guest houses in the village. Our stay left a little to be desired - Even though our team comprised rather outdoors people, we dared not take our boots off at night! Poisonous spiders, snakes, and all manners of insects made the guest house their home, even more so than us humans.
