Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus) set 2 (Explored)
More from my trip to Heartwood on Monday. I placed this perch in the field back in January, so it was particularly pleasing to get one sitting on it - I was not sat in wait though so couldn't get to my original vantage point, which I had chosen for the clear line of sight - hence the twigs in the foreground - but I don't think they detract too much.
